| | TABLE PERCENTAGE
A measurement of a diamond's table size, relative to its entire surface area at the top of the stone. The size of a diamond's table relative to the width of the stone at its girdle (the widest point) is critical for maximum fire and brilliance. Too small or too large a table can hamper its ability to disperse light properly, not to mention possibly causing the stone to appear smaller for its weight.
